WiRE Awards Presentation - Led by Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE)

Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE) is proud to team up with Canadian Renewable Energy Association (CanREA) once again to bring you the 2025 Women of Distinction Awards; Woman of Renewable Energy Award. Join us as we announce this year's winner! The awards is available to registered Full Conference attendees and will take place on Monday, October 6, from 6:30 pm - 6:35 pm after the Opening Remarks and Opening Plenary.

CanREA Awards Presentation - Led by Canadian Renewable Energy Association (CanREA)

The CanREA Awards program is a new initiative that aims to celebrate exceptional wind, solar, behind-the-meter, and energy storage projects demonstrating innovation, leadership and commitment in Canada, as well as Indigenous organizations driving our energy transition. The awards is available to registered Full Conference attendees and will take place on Monday, October 6, from 6:35 pm - 7:00 pm after the WiRE Awards Presentation.

Filling future gaps in the energy workforce - Led by Trellis Fund

Hear from Trellis Grant recipients in discussion with Trellis Fund founder Rebecca Black (Black Current, WiRE) about how Trellis is supporting their plans to be the next generation of Clean Energy Professionals, and how the industry can both support and benefit from Trellis programming. This session is available to all registered ETC attendees and will take place on Tuesday, October 7, from 10:30 am - 11:00 am at the Industry Insights Stage on the show floor.

The Great Canadian Electricity Map

EHRC’s Great Canadian Electricity Map introduces youth to the innovative ideas, and people, driving Canada’s sustainable energy future. The map is seven by nine meters in size and rolls out across a gymnasium or equivalent size floor. It comes with teaching resources for teachers and facilitators to help people learn about the electricity sector. The map itself lays out Canada’s vast geography, electricity transmission system and major generating infrastructure in its geographic location across the country. Nuclear, hydro, wind, solar, natural gas and coal generating stations are all covered. There are even battery storage facilities and lithium mines on the map as well. Engage with the map yourself on the show floor all day on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Business Lab: Business Opportunities at the Grid Edge - Led by EMerge Alliance

Join the discussion on both technical and business opportunities for the Grid Edge on Wednesday, October 8, from 11:30 am - 12:00 pm in the Networking area on the show floor. It’s a chance to ask questions about various technologies and business developments in both broad enterprise segments of the market. Helping guide the way for the group will be the EMerge Alliance chairman, a long-time business and thought leader, inventor, and industry futurist. This is available to all registered ETC attendees.

RE+ Source PRO: The Ultimate Guide for Power System Equipment and DC Microgrid Design - Led by EMerge Alliance

Learn how the RE+ Source PRO platform simplifies and speeds-up the microgrid design process, especially for systems using dc-coupled technology, via a new AI-facilitated tool to guide the proper selection of compatible equipment for a given system application solution. Join us at the Technical Training and Innovation Stage on Wednesday, October 8, from 11:30 am - 12:00 pm. This is available to all registered ETC attendees.
